Latest tit bits on Kuselan, the next Rajini movie directed by P Vasu:

The new movie pooja held at AVM Studios on 07 Mar 2008
Rajini indicated that his part would be only 25% in the movie with 50% by Pasupathy and remaining by Vadivelu who has been roped in to fill the comedy track.
Meena plays opposite to Pasupathy while Nayanthara takes the heroine role with Rajini who would play the pair as cine actors in the movie.
Simran seems to have rejected the offer to play against Pasupathy since the character is a mother of three children. Cool, she is a mother of just one in real life !
Meena played the same role in the original version in Malayalam - Katha parayumpol
Vasu assures this to be a wholesome Rajini movie like Chandramukhi. He has got three songs ready out of five planned. G V Praskash scores the music for Kuselan.
Vasu assures Rajini appearnce in atleast 45 out of 60 scenes in the movie, though his entry would not be right at the beginning of movie as usual.
There is no much change in the script from original Malayalam version as the troop do not want to take the risk of modified screen play.
Kuselan shooting would have been started by now with first day shoots exclusively for Rajini as indicated by Vasu.
So its time to celebrate Kuselan next mega treat for Rajini fans slated to hit the screens in August 2008.

This is the title of the biography of our Super Star. It is being written by Dr Gayatri Srikanth, an Opthamologist. The book is slated for launch on 1st March 2008.

Responding to a television interview she said, Rajini's political news would always make waves in the country. So did a speech delivered by him recently in an award distribution function. He has immense concern for "Ramar Palam". The doctor cum writer concluded saying that Rajini will venture into politics in future.

Rajinikanth visited Vijayanagaram in Andhra Pradhesh to attend the marriage of one of his assistant Murali Prasad Rao's son. On his way back, Super Star visited Vizag. Reporters grabbed this opportunity and interviewed him there. The excerpts of a news paper article goes as follows.

In his replies to the press, Rajinikanth said he is acting in two films now (Kuselan by P Vasu and Robot by Shankar), which will keep him busy for next two year during which he will not be able to think about venturing politics.

He said he is focusing on his movies for the present and he may think about venturing politics after two years. In response to a specific question, super star responded that he has no plans as of now to participate in Andhra politics or to support Chiranjeevi's entry in to politics either.

He said competition is hectic in all areas including cinema. According to him the scenario was not so 20 years ago. It is a challenging task to over come such stiff competition and achieve success in these days, he said.

In a closing note, the super star hinted his interest to make a full and full spiritual movie after two years, with his Himalayas spiritual experience.

About Rajini - The Super Star of Tamil Cinema

The Super Star of Tamil Cinema was born on 12th Dec 1949.
His parents are Shri. Nanoji Rao Gaekward and Shrimathi. Ramboi.
He has two brothers and one sister namely Shri. Satyanarayan Rao,
Shri Nageshwara Rao and Shrimathi Aswathamma. The Cine popular
Rajnikanth was christened by their parents as Shivaji Rao Gaekward
and was called as Shivaji before he entered the media.
They belong to Maharashtra and were living in Bangalore when Rajni
was born. Their ancestors are believed to be from a village called
Nachiar Kuppam in Dharmapuri Dist. of Tamilnadu.
Rajnikanth studied in Ramakrishna Mission School in Bangalore. He
had been a bright student in childhood but he is reportedly could
not finish his schooling due to family circumstances. As grown up
Rajinkanth joined a Bus Transport in Bangalore and worked as a
Conductor. He was popular on the buses in those days itself for his
swift action and style manners, especially among youngsters. He used
to act in dramas with his childhood friends and developed a flair for
acting as a profession.
As his interest for the art increased, he came to Chennai for a
training in the Film Institute. After his successful completion of the
course, he got introduced to the leading Director of those days,
Shri.K.BALACHANDER, who advised him to develop his skills further,
after watching a model play in the Institute. That induced an eternal
boost in Rajni and lead him to get a chance for appearing in the Silver
Screen for the first time, through a Tamil movie APOORVA RAGANGAL.
Shri.K.BALACHANDER, the Director of the movie introduced him in
with the name RAJNIKANTH which is revolving around now as a magic
spell among the Indian Cinema Industry and doing wonders.
Shri.K.BALACHANDER is supposed to be his father in the Industry.
That was his debut in the Cinema industry and was his step stone for
a series of successful movies later. Initially he has performed
Villain or Anti-hero roles in about 20 movies including
16 vayadhinilae, Moonru Mudichu etc. Then he was given Hero roles
starting from Bhairavi. Soon he attained the SUPER STAR status and
acted more than 150 films in 7 languages including one in English
namely BLOOD STONE.
His swift action and style manners contributed a lot for his popularity.
He used different styles from film to film to attract the audience, like
spinning the sun glasses before wearing on his face, flipping the
cigarette directly to his lips, combing his hair with his figers and a
lot of such gimmicks. Alongwith this he used to deliver a unique dialoge
in almost every movie. This has become an important part in his recent
movies. "HOW IS IT ?" is one such dialoges which has an Rajni identity
for the past 25 years.
In these 25 years he has performed more than 150 movies, out of which
18 celebrated Silver Jubilee (25 weeks), 3 hit 150 days and about 32
were shown for a century of days.Now-a-days he is giving a movie once
in a year or two only. He is considered as the lucky star of Indian Cinema
Industry for collections.The recent hits of Rajnikanth are BASHAA, MUTHU,
ARUNACHALAM and the latest release PADAIYAPPA which celebrated Silver Jubilee
very recently.
He has made a record in the Indian Film Industry as well as the Tourism
Industry by attracting a mob of fans in Japan. A group of tourists from
Japan visited Chennai recently to meet Rajnikanth to show their liking
for them after viewing the Japanese release of his latest hits, Muthu
and Baasha. This has earned a considerable amount of Foreign Exchange for
the nation through movie rights and tourism income. Thus it is proved that
SUPER STAR RAJNIKANTH and his service to the Indian Cinema Industry are
eternal assets for the Indian Nation.
